I perform computer examinations as an adjunct to my career as a Professor of Computer Science. I find that real-world experience guides my academic research and gives color to my class lectures. My professional curiosity leads me to delve especially deeply into cases that I find intriguing or which lead me to research and learn about new systems or software.
Because of this, I perform common forensic examinations for a fee based on the number of computers and other media examined instead of billing by the hour. Not only does this allow you to be sure of your budget, it allows me to satisfy my curiosity at my expense, rather than that of my clients. My examination concludes when you have received all copies of relevant data from the investigation and are satisfied with my written report.
Other investigations, providing depositions, or testifying are billed at an hourly rate. I do require a retainer in advance based on the estimated cost of the investigation.
Please contact me for a more detailed estimate for your case.
